Nestled beneath the bustling streets of Ginza, Chun Shui Tang is a gem that beckons tea lovers and casual diners alike to experience the essence of Taiwanese café culture. Known as the world's first boba milk tea shop, Chun Shui Tang, with its roots in Taichung, Taiwan, brings an authentic taste of Taiwan right to the heart of Tokyo.

When you step into this chic café, you may find it slightly tucked away on B1F of Ginza Place. The ambiance is understated, offering a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle above. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and an inviting aroma of freshly brewed tea create a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding with friends or enjoying a solitary moment with your favorite drink.

The star of the menu is, without a doubt, the タピオカミルクティー (Tapioca Milk Tea), a crowd favorite priced at just ¥650. Imagine taking a sip of this creamy, rich tea, with the perfectly chewy boba pearls offering that quintessential texture that keeps fans returning for more. It’s a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate, just waiting to be enjoyed as you sit back and savor the experience.

If you're in the mood for something warm and hearty, opt for the 豆漿鶏湯麺 (Dou Jiang Ji Tang Mian), priced at ¥980. This dish features delicate noodles swimming in a warm, silken soy milk broth with a hint of black vinegar, topped with tender chicken and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. It’s comfort food that warms the soul, perfect for a chilly day or a comforting bowl anytime.

While the café may not be immediately easy to find, its hidden location adds to its charm. As customer Nam aptly noted, its underground setting can make it feel exclusive, almost like discovering a secret. Other patrons like Andrew share that while the offerings might seem simple, it’s an ideal spot for a quick, satisfying bite as you fuel up for a day of exploring Tokyo.

Chun Shui Tang isn’t just about the food—it’s a testimony to passion for tea and Taiwanese flavors. Fans can't get enough of the cozy atmosphere combined with the unique menu. If you're curious about what authentic boba feels like in the heart of Tokyo, this café invites you to embark on a delightful adventure!

Chun Shui Tang : Taiwan From what i've have talked about — they are all about a town or a city but for this one , i really like to talk about this Boba shop especially. This shop is the world's first ever boba milk tea shop , it's ( original shop ) located in Taichung , Taiwan. As you may know, Taiwan is famous for its boba tea , and all of that started here. I'm one of its biggest fan. I went there with a hope of tasting the most delicious boba and guess what ? I did get a chance to try Chun Shui Tang 's boba milk tea , even though i got to try the branch in Taipei. It was so good, the ice is cold , the tea and the milk blending was irresistible. No words can be described how good this little cup of tea was.

As others mentioned, the cafe is a bit hard to find underground. We came here while we waited for the nearby mall to open and decided to share a few things. The tea and bun were good but nothing stood out. A good place to grab something simple and maybe take a quick seat.

The location is hard to find, underground B1F of the Nissan Crossing. It’s inside another place called The Bar, which you have to look for the LED sign in front of The Bar for this coffee place. If you go here using the lift accessed from Nissan Crossing, this place should be on your left right after you come out of the lift. I have the original boba tea, didn’t taste good, kinda bland for 650 yen. The atmosphere just like normal coffee place, nothing special. They only have 2 people so you have to be patient with the order.
